Information regarding the network users from Romania on the long term capacity booking for Szeged - Arad interconnection pipeline

SNTGN TRANSGAZ SA Medias informs all those interested that on October 14th, 2010 was held at Csanádpalota, in Hungary, the official inauguration of Szeged-Arad interconnection pipeline in the presence of Mr. Guenther Oettinger, EU Energy Commissioner.

The procedure, launched on December 8, 2008,  for long term capacity booking in the national transmission system having as entry point Csanadpalota/Hungary - Nadlac/Romania  has been ended successfully, the booked capacity totalling 140,662 cubic meters/h.
Four bids were recorded, all meeting the terms and conditions of the procedure. The bidding companies are: EON Gaz Romania, Distrigaz Sud SA, Petrom Gas SRL and MOL Energy Trade Ltd.

Please be informed that the procedure of long-term capacity booking in the national transmission system, having as entry point Csanádpalota / Hungary - Nadlac / Romania, will start again on December 8, 2008, for booking a capacity of 70,000 m3 / h, representing the difference up to the minimum capacity required to be reserved. The booking procedure schedule will be posted on the site, in the section called "Szeged-Arad pipeline".

The companies that have requested capacity booking until November 14, 2008 can come to the Transgaz SA Medias’s headquarters to sign the Preliminary Agreement for long-term capacity booking in the national transmission system, having as entry point Csanádpalota / Hungary - Nadlac / Romania.

Announcement, November 14th, 2008

Given the unsuccessful conclusion of the procedure for long-term capacity booking in the national transmission system, having as entry point Csanádpalota / Hungary - Nadlac / Romania, meaning that only 64% of the minimum capacity needed to be booked  was requested, please be informed that Transgaz SA will resume this procedure at a date to be announced. Also, Transgaz SA will publish on its website useful information about changing the entire schedule for the capacity allocation on the Romania’s territory.

Until November 14, 2008 only three bids were recorded, all meeting the terms and conditions of the procedure. The request for long-term capacity booking totalling 90,662 m3 / h, the bidding companies being the following:
1.EON Gaz Romania SA
2.Distrigaz Sud SA
3.Petrom Gas SRL

Announcement, October 17th, 2008

Following the request of some of the interested network users to book long term natural gas transmission capacity on the Szeged-Arad interconnection pipeline, please note that the Procedure for long-term capacity bookings in NTS, having as entry point Csanádpalota / Hungary - Nadlac / Romania, is extended until November 20, 2008. The booking procedure schedule shall be amended accordingly and will be displayed on our website, the “Szeged-Arad section”.

Following the communication received from FGSZ Ltd. regarding the Second Open Season Procedure launched on September 12th, 2008 for the sale of maximum 90% of the natural gas transmission capacity of the Szeged - Arad interconnection pipeline, please be informed that the Second Open Season Procedure was declared by FGSZ Ltd. as being successfully concluded.

At closing time there were five offers, all meeting the terms and conditions of the procedure. The request of long-term capacity booking for Csanádpalota border point totals 160,662 m3 / h.

Following the communication received from FGSZ Ltd. we inform you that the Hungarian part has concluded on September 30, 2008 the Construction Contract. By this contract the Hungarian contractor undertakes to complete, until December 15th, 2009, the construction of the Hungarian section of Szeged - Arad interconnection pipeline.
