SNTGN TRANSGAZ SA Medias, consistent to the principle of applying a responsible management in fulfilling the commitments undertaken, is aware of the importance of the fact that, sometimes, a financial support for a noble cause or an important goal is vital and therefore through the social responsibility programs and projects initiated, it is actively involved in community life, thus demonstrating its status of "good citizen".

The essential role of TRANSGAZ in the energy field in Romania and Europe is filled naturally with its desire to support the real needs of all those who continuously contribute to the smooth running of its business.
As a component part of TRANSGAZ`s sustainable development strategy, the social responsibility policy has as objective the permanent increase of the level of responsibilization of the company to employees, shareholders, partners, community and environment as well the optimization of the impact of the programs "Triple P - Profit, People, Planette" initiated for this purpose.

The commitment undertaken by the company management through "The Policy Statement on Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System" is another clear proof that TRANSGAZ highlights the importance of ensuring an organizational climate in which all those interested: employees, shareholders, customers, suppliers, community and environment can interact effectively and responsibly both economically and socially.

TRANSGAZ policy regarding social responsibility is based on a set of principles defining this interaction between the company, on one side, and employees, shareholders, partners, community and environment, on the other side.

The priority areas where TRANSGAZ develops social responsibility programs are: sports, community development (places of worship, schools, kindergartens), education, art and culture, humanitarian actions, health (hospitals), environment.
SPORT – We are among those who believe that sport has the power to ensure harmony between body and mind!

• We support the entire sports movement (football, basketball, tennis, volleyball) of Mediaş and of other neighboring localities and we stand by Gaz Metan Mediaş Sports Club.

 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - We are where needed!
TRANSGAZ supports financially the works of construction and / or reconstruction of places of worship (churches, monasteries), restoration of national patrimony vestiges, construction and / or reconstruction, renovation of buildings of educational institutions (schools, kindergartens).
EDUCATION - We believe in the potential of young generation and therefore we invest in its education!

• We involve through financial and social support in the education of the younger generation;
• We support by financial partnership the technical projects, symposia and conferences on natural gas field subjects, organized by the Oil and Gas University from Ploieşti;
• We are active in various professional and social partnerships in training a new generation of employees of the gas industry;
• We provide financial and material support in order to ensure the educational material in schools, which is needed to a large extent for a continuous education.

ART AND CULTURE
Culture means perfect and equal human development in all respects, and we are with those who want that!

• We financially support through partnerships the cultural events, organization of theater performances and music festivals, competitions and the students' artistic creations;
• We support  the cultural foundations in their activity;
• We stand for and support both the established values of Romanian art and culture and the young talents.

HUMANITARIAN ACTIONS
TRANSGAZ is always close to those who need real help!

• By the financial support provided we try to involve ourselves in solving some life problems of the persons with disabilities, in need, without financial possibilities, or of the persons requiring medical treatment;
• We stand by those who, whether they are or not our employees, have suffered damages caused by natural disasters;
• We support financially the cultural, sports and artistic actions of the pupils and students with disabilities from Mediaş and also the NGOs and foundations that deal with these people.

HEALTH

• We contribute financially to the investments of the municipal hospital in Medias and we are present whenever the financial support is needed in solving medical cases of our employees or of their relatives.

ENVIRONMENT
We all want a healthy life and a clean environment, and therefore we are concerned about everything that is around us!

• We financially support the partnerships concluded by NGOs with schools or public institutions for environmental protection projects and green area planning;  
• We also support the greening projects initiated by the local municipality of Medias and those initiated by other municipalities in the country, where Transgaz has units.
