Project description:
Specifications:
- Maximum transmission capacity - 1.5 billion cubic meters per year;
- Minimum transmission capacity - 0.5 billion cubic meters per year;
- Maximum pressure - 40 bar
- Minimum pressure - 29 bar;
- Pipe diameter - DN 500 mm.
Implementation of the project involves the completion of the following works:
- Construction of two Gas Metering Stations, G.M.S. Giurgiu and G.M.S. Russe;
- Construction of a DN 500 mm, PN 40 bar pipeline, with a length of about 5.2 km between G.M.S. Giurgiu and the undercrossing point located on the Romanian bank of the Danube;
- Construction of a DN 500 mm, PN 40 bar pipeline, with a length of about 15.4 km between G.M.S. Russe and the undercrossing point located on the Bulgarian bank of the Danube;
- Construction of two DN 500 mm, PN 40 bar pipeline sections undercrossing the Danube river (main pipe and the backup pipe) with a total length of 4.14 km (2.07 km x 2 sections).
Total estimated project value (eligible values for E.U. co-financing) is about 24 mil. Euro, broken down as follows:
- TRANSGAZ S.A. - about 10 mil. Euro
- BULGARTRANSGAZ E.A.D. - about 14 mil. Euro
TRANSGAZ and BULGARTRANSGAZ will jointly implement the project observing the decision for E.U. funding Nr. C (2010) 5962 of 06/09/2010, in accordance to the E.E.P.R. programme (European Energy Programme for Recovery) provisions. Under this programme a E.U. co-financing in the amount of about 8.9 mil. Euro has been allocated for this project, splitted between the project partners as follows:
- TRANSGAZ S.A. - about 4.6 mil. Euro;
- BULGARTRANSGAZ E.A.D. - about 4.3 mil. Euro.
The amount co-financed by the European Commission represents 37.48% of the estimated total value of the project.
