The exploitation of the NTS is carried out by operating personnel, organised in work teams, respectively sectors and regional offices, constituted according to the Rules of Structure and to the organisational structure approved by the Board of Administration. The supervising of pipeline routes and maintenance works thereto, crossings (under-crossings) and technological fittings shall be carried out according to the technical standards in force, to the schedules and programmes drawn up for this purpose. For the continuity and for the safety of gas supply to gas consumers, depending on the potential of the sources as well as of the consumption requirements, the pipeline system is provided with gas metering and regulation stations that represent an essential part of the National Transmission System.
These are terminal points of the main pipeline systems (under high pressure) through which the gas is delivered to the users (localities, industrial platforms, distribution companies, etc).
Given the fact that according to G.D. no. 334/2000 – Art. 8, – S.N.T.G.N. “TRANSGAZ” S.A. is the technical operator of the National Gas Transmission System and is liable for its operation under quality and safety conditions, it has the obligation to ensure the qualified personnel of all production capacities and especially of the Metering and Regulation Stations, regardless of the owner.
Labour-force sizing within TRANSGAZ is made by taking into account the characteristic features and the specific nature of the activities through which the safety of the equipment operation and the continuity of gas deliveries shall be ensured, irrespective of the gas quantities circulated throughout the entire year.
Although the National Transmission System was significantly developed, the personnel number recorded a constant growth.
In order to improve the professional qualification of the employees, the company arranged training programs to be carried out both through its own Employee Training Center and in close co-operation with authorised providers of professional training. |
