Following Romania’s adhesion to the European Union, the international co-operation activity aims at turning Transgaz into a top European company asserting its importance at a regional level by an active participation in European forums and organizations, in regional and European projects and by active partnerships with other companies in the field.
The international co-operation is an interface between our company and its foreign partners and is focused on the fulfillment of the company’s regional and international objectives, i.e.:
- Cooperation with the gas transmission companies of the neighbouring countries in view of interconnecting the National Gas Transmission System with similar systems of such countries;
- Co-operation with foreign gas companies meant to develop the gas transit on the Romanian territory, either by extending the current gas transit capacities or by implementing new projects;
- Co-operation with European entities and institutions and with all participants in the creation process of an EU domestic energy market;
- Involvement in the activity of GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe), both by taking part in the association’s workshops and by hosting the annual GIE Conference, in October, this year, in Bucharest. Such Conference is reckoned as the key event within the gas transmission sector.
- Representation and promotion of the company’s image and of the international projects the company is part of, within international conferences and symposiums and in relation to investors interested in the company’s enterprises.
